PRINTING THE NAQSH
MUBARAK OF RASOOLULLAH'S
(SALLAL LAAHU ALAYHI WASALLAM) NA'LAIN PAAK
QUESTION:
What is the ruling on printing the Naqsh Mubarak of Rasoolullah's (Sallal Laahu
Alayhi Wasallam) Na'lain Paak on the title page of a book or anywhere within the
book? Some Ulema rule doing so as Haraam and a mockery.

ANSWER:
Doing so is not impermissible. There is nothing wrong in printing the Naqsh Paak
within the book on its title page for the attainment of Barkat. Yes, the Naqsh
Paak must be respected. The Ulema and Imaams of the Deen used to copy the Naqsh
Paak of Rasoolullah's (Sallal Laahu Alayhi Wasallam) Na'lain Shareef and Rauza
Shareef on paper and books. They used to kiss the Naqsh Paak themselves and
order it to be placed on the eyes and heads. The treatise of Allama Ahmed Muqri,
“Fathul-Mutaal fi Madhi Khairin-Niaal”, is a valuable work on this topic as
stated by Aala Hazrat, Imaam Ahmed Raza Khan in his treatises “Abrul-Muqaal” and
“Shifaaul-Waala”. A Naqsha of the Naal Shareef was printed in the beginning of
Fatawa Razvia, Vol. 1. When Huzoor Mufti Azam Hind Published Vol. 4 of Fatawa
Razvia, he also printed the Naqsh Paak of the Naal Shareef. Ruling it to be
Haraam and a mockery is totally wrong.
